Contact Lens Center

If you prefer contact lenses, our doctors and their clinical care technicians are experts in the fitting and problem solving of 21st century contact lens products. Our doctors fitting philosophy is to fit the contact lens to the patients eye not fit the eye to the contact lens. Most of our contact lens fittings involve having the patient try 2-3 brands of lenses to achieve good vision, comfort, and eye health. Our patients comment very positively on the "custom fitting" approach of our doctors and staff.  For your convenience, we offer same day fitting for most contact lens prescriptions.

They will asses each patient's prescription vision requirements and select the best contact lens type for success.

Contact Lens Fee Information

Below are some examples of our fees for a patient to be fitted with disposable soft contact lenses.  Included in these fees are:  a contact lens eye health examination and prescription vision testing, dry eye testing, eye shape measurements including corneal topography, the fitting and supply of diagnostic contact lenses, a training class for the application and removal of the contact lenses, a contact lens solution disinfection kit, a 90 day patient follow-up period with our doctors and technicians to assess comfort and vision satisfaction using their contact lenses, and a years supply* of contact lenses using our "in-house" discounts and manufacturer rebates for maximum savings (we stock certain brands of these contact lenses too):

One Month Replacement Lenses***  -  $339.00
Two Week Replacement Lenses***  -  $367.00
One Month Replacement Toric (astigmatism) Lenses***  -  $429.00
One Month Replacement Multifocal Lenses***  -  $435.00
Daily Replacement Lenses**  -   $551.00

The above fees apply to a new fitting of contact lenses for a patient who has never worn them or has been unsuccessful in the past and wishes to try again.  All above categories of lenses have numerous brands - the fees listed are for the least expensive brand in the respective category.  Patients who currently wear disposable contact lenses but desire a re-fitting to a different brand or type would pay a lesser fee.  Patients who only require a contact lens re-exam for prescription renewal of their present brand of contact lens would pay even less as there would be no fitting or follow-up fees involved.  A patient's contact lens prescription is valid for 12 months from the eye exam and fitting date.

Our doctors fit over 45 brands of contact lenses (soft, gas permeable, combination types, corneal re-shaping) with the goal of achieving great vision, comfortable wear, and excellent eye health for their patients.  All Lakeshore Eyecare Center contact lens fittings come with a guarantee of satisfaction for success.  Call us today to make an exam appointment to discuss how new options in contact lenses may work for you.

* Some patients may desire a smaller quantity of contact lenses due to their frequency of use or because of wearing a lens on only one eye so the costs would be less.

** Daily replacement lenses require no contact lens disinfection solutions - this allows the ultimate eye health experience of having fresh contact lenses to wear each day and also having no significant solution expenses.  Occasional wearers of contact lenses especially love this lens category because of the freedom from all the "hassle" of the disinfection requirements and trying to remember the replacement dates for the lenses.

***  These categories all require FDA approved contact lens disinfection solutions for eye health safety reasons.  The yearly cost can range from $80.00 - $100.00 and more if special disinfection solution systems are necessary because of eye health sensitivities.
